Safety Consulting Services

Charleston Safety provides professional safety consulting services for construction and general industry clients who need practical, real-world support to strengthen their safety programs and meet regulatory or project-specific requirements.

Our firm was established to support organizations that require experienced safety professionals without the burden of hiring full-time staff. We work directly with leadership and field personnel to improve hazard control, training effectiveness, and OSHA compliance, focusing on solutions that function in active jobsites and operating environments—not just in software dashboards or generic templates.

Charleston Safety designs and authors custom Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs tailored to each client’s operations, workforce, and risk profile. These programs are built to be managed by existing staff, allowing companies to maintain effective safety systems without the overhead of a full-time safety professional. For small to mid-sized organizations, this is often the most efficient and cost-effective approach to construction safety consulting.

To support consistent execution in the field, our consulting services are frequently paired with weekly construction toolbox talks that reinforce safety expectations, address real job hazards, and provide documented safety communication for supervisors and crews.

When properly implemented, these safety programs help organizations:

  • Reduce workplace injuries and incidents

  • Lower overall risk exposure

  • Improve workers’ compensation performance

  • Strengthen TRIR and DART scores

  • Demonstrate due diligence during audits, inspections, and client reviews

Charleston Safety also provides OSHA compliance support, jobsite audits, and safety program development services to help companies identify hazards early, correct deficiencies, and maintain programs that align with real-world work conditions.

Our approach emphasizes practical implementation, supervisor engagement, and jobsite-level accountability—because effective safety programs are measured by results, not checklists.

Lake Jocassee Project

Charleston Safety provided expert safety consulting services for Phillips Industrial Services Corporation, based in Goose Creek, SC, by developing a comprehensive 3D Lift Plan for a critical lift on the Lake Jocassee Intake Tower coating project in Seneca, South Carolina.

To ensure environmental protection during abrasive blasting, a weather-resistant containment system was crucial for safeguarding this critical infrastructure. The placement of a large Geotarp® over the structure required the use of a mobile crane, adding complexity to the operation.

Prioritizing safety at every step, Phillips Industrial selected Charleston Safety for their trusted safety consulting expertise, ensuring a smooth and secure execution of the project.
